@edwards21416 No... he was the one in charge of the new design but they just hired him,... and well that old stadium was pretty but theres just no comparison with the masterpiece he created... in my opinion :p
True about Zaha and Gehry, they are more 'sculptors' than architects. It works great for museums and art galleries, (and in the case of Zaha, a swimming pool) but little else. The best architects are those taht work with a complex brief and create something wonderful. Personally I love stuff by Ando, Chipperfield, Adjaye, Caruso St. John, and for Foster, his skill is shown more in a project like the Sackler Gallery than any other. And his Ipswich office was 20 years ahead of its time.
the last anwer its a total nonsense...zaha and mostly gehry are not a really "architects" are some kind of "pop starts" that only make "trademarks" with our buildings, anyway, architec firms like FOA (with the yokohama port)
and foster.. (meybe bored.. but no so superfluous like gehry) are much more architecture than the livable´s sculpture of gehry´s work
No need no yell at me. I'm working on a project about Norman Foster's architecture. I don't like the kind of architecture he does, but he is very innovative and manages to design very low maintenance buildings.
It's hard to tell who is the greatest. My personal favorite is Gehry. Zaha Hadid is also very cool as well as Meier. They are all very good and again, they deserve their Pritzker prize.
