This song is great. George kind of sounds like Paul in this song.

All the world is birthday cake, so take a piece but not too much.

@MovieMaker484 , you're not being a jerk at all. When i originally meant "typical Beatles format", I meant what was recorded before Revolver.
Revolver hjappened to be a very experimental album, much more so than Rubber Soul.
To me, albums like Help, Beatles For Sale, A Hard Day's Night, With the Beatles all involved similar song structure and harmony. After revolver, things got pretty Psychedelic (backwards recording, mellotron, etc.) However Abbey Road and Let It Be were more basic.

@MovieMaker484 A Day In The Life is from Sgt. Pepper. I should know. I have both albums. (Sorry If I sounded jerkish)

@ffairlane57 Sorry, I don't wanna be a jerk or anything. But this song was released in 1969. And Revolver was released in 1966. Or... Maybe I miss understood you. :)

@genericgeorge , I thought A Day in the Life was their longest song.

@jgg87, pre-Revolver era.

The first Beatle song to really smash the 4 minute mark. This was released after Hey Jude but recorded way before

@SuperFirewire1 it's count-in so he could be saying anything. Lennon always did strange count-ins ( sugar plum fairy sugar plum fairy) A day in the life etc.He didn't need one for this song as it's just him feedbacking but don't read too much into it.
Gorge and John were way ahead of their time. R.I.P. to both Beatles.
