Bob The Bear Hite, founder of Canned Heat, had a house in Topanga Canyon that was literally full of blues: -Filled- w/ one of, (if not -the-), the largest blues record collections, every wall, from floor to ceiling. (Together w/ Heat members A.Wilson, H.Vestine, & brother Richard, definitely the largest.) Whenever possible, Bob spent his days & nights playing those records, telling stories about the ones he knew, sometimes even finding one he hadn't heard himself within his huge library.

Just great to hear this again after so long- my brother had a load of 45s out of a juke box- you had to put the centre back in to play em, this was our favourite- Long live the blues!!

@latenightpilgrim Gets cooler. This song was written by Mayall for Bob "The Bear" Hite. The guy from Canned Heat (another dope band).

WOW - NEVER KNEW THIS WAS RECORDED IN TREE DAYS. ARE YOU POSITIVE? I COULD HAVE SWORN THIS WAS RECORDED BEFORE TREES INHABITED THE EARTH. ANYWAY I HEAR CANNED HEAT AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS TUNE. DID THE HEAT RIP MAYALL OFF WITH "ON THE ROAD AGAIN" ?
