@Danger555 yes comrade, the true "king" has never disapointed me..and laroque.......well i mean, was he not 19 or something when he first recordedwith ole diamond? the man is a monster plain and simple.

Thanks a lot for the explanation. You mentioned "king" took Slayer down a few levels. Let me remind you of a king who never abandoned metal: KING DIAMOND! I hope you're familiar with his influence and work. Also, dig deep into his guitarist Andy Laroque, who also played in a Death CD!!!!

@Danger555 ok, i agree with you about nu-slayer. i said in my original post the eqarly works of slayer. i love everything up to seasons, after that album i saw the decline of my number one influence. once king took over the writing process slayer went down the tubes. and as far as malevolent creation being an awesome band i agree. except they have had a few shit albums as well.

Let's both ignore grammar. New Slayer sucks. New Slayer is not like old Slayer. How, in the comment section of such an awesome band as Malevolent Creation, can you defend a band who changed their style in order to sell more records (Slayer)? It's not like I'm here supporting Shitknot or anything like that! I'm pointing out that Slayer is no better than Metallica in their abandoning Thrash Metal. Would you please address this point?!

@Danger555 well if i was shaky pardon me. i assumed that a well educated englishman like yourself would have a fine grasp on reading comprehension. anyway it seems that you did eventually figure out my grammarless post, i apologize as your "grasp" of grammar is superior. too bad your grasp of music seems infantile.

I had a little trouble discerning your comment, as your grasp of grammar appears somewhat shaky.
Slayer's early work was masterful, ground breaking Thrash Metal. Hell Awaits is a fine example of metal. However, taking a page of of Metallica's book of selling out, Slayer followed suit and abandoned their fans by abandoning thrash.

@Danger555 you are a moron if you thinkthat slayers early works are not staples of metal. up to divine they were untouchable.

I'm surprised that a true metal band like Malevolent Creation would cover such a cheap, shitty sellout band like Slayer. Slayer started as a thrash band, but then jumped on the sellout train with Metallica and Megadeth. Slayer even attempted to become a death metal band. Slayer failed at this attempt, and now have no more legitimacy than Slipknot and Korn.
Slayer = Slipknot = Korn
Demolition Hammer was a thrash band that never sold out. Slayer abandoned their metal roots.
Angle of Death by Thin Lizzy has nothing to do with the song by Slayer. The Thin Lizzy song is a long power ballad about the actual angel of death; the Slayer song is a fast, frantic thrasher about Nazi butchers during the Holocaust. Plenty of songs have the same name, LordAPX.
