@slammer489 I don't think that building wind turbines in the wilderness is a good idea.
I could agree with you on that, they shouldn't be building turbines in an area if they have to tear down forests.
as for agriculture, crops can be farmed right up to the turbines, farm animals such as cows generally ignore the turbines. as for the deaths caused prematurely from the pollution, I will provide you with a link. I will give you several websites, studies which prove that pollution shortens lives.

@SereneiBE Wind turbines do not need to be placed in the wilderness?
Then why have they cut down acres and acres of trees in this area to put up a few hundred wind mills that won't even replace the one coal fired power plant in this area?
Any time you build something such as a wind mill in an agricultural area you reduce the agricultural area.
I agree that solar works best in the deserts like Solar One in the Mojave. 9 plants @ 354 MW. 1 coal plant near me 1600 MW. Green is not feasibe.

@SereneiBE Fact of the matter is green energy is not as safe or practicle as you tree huggers think it is. 800 sq. miles is a 20 X 40 mile area. Thats not a very big area. And i happen to live in the appalachian mountain range, WV. How big are DC,LA or NY cities? How much area have they consumed for expandsion over the same time frame? 13,000 lives lost from pollution annually is BS. There's no way you can substantiate that figure. CO2 is absorbed by forrests and they in turn produce oxygen.

@slammer489 Fact of the matter is fossil fuels have been very destructive, over 800 square miles of the appalachian mountain range has been blown up by the coal industry for energy use, pollution from coal fire plants cost 13 thousand lives in the us alone annually. In the Nigerian coasts, oil spills are so bad it could take over 30 years to clean up.
sulfur released from burning fossil fuels cause acid rain which harms forests and nature, as the oceans absorb co2 they become more acidic.

@slammer489 There are ways to set up green technology in an eco friendly way.
Solar power can be set on our roofs, wind turbines do not need to be placed in the wilderness. with proper placement will limit it's impact of our planet. We will not need to cut down trees to build wind power and solar.
Already alot of wind power has been built in with agriculture, solar power works best in the deserts, not in the rain of forests.

WHAT A TOOL

the precious earth. someday everything will be gone.. u.u we are killing ourselves...
-
Sure lets put up windmills and solar power plants. Lets cover the pastures with them, lets cut down the trees to make room for them. Lets screw up the entire ecosystem. Sure lets go green by getting rid of the green. Wake up. Think it through.

Please have a look at the Youtube Video of Save Planet Earth. The song is being established as an Anthem for all Green Supporters and hopefully everyone that will be attending Earth Day Events

Doing what's right is always called for, always good.
Meanwhile, please know that Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, and all the other planets are experiencing "global warming" too. Please don't take the rap for this - that part of it is a scam

@b5201 Listen, first of all, that is a natural cycle.Using gasoline to our advantage, chopping trees to mix with chemicals making paper, wiping out prairie and beach to make neighborhoods (the list goes on), is not natural by any means. When has the earth been drowned in it's own water because of human's ignorance in history?Yes, we are in a warming cycle, but this is one that has put a hole in the ozone layer and has moved species into endangerment. My advice to you?Look up the facts.

Why would you want all of america to die meaning you (it says you live in Canada, and Canada is part of North AMERICA), all of The United States of America, all of canada, all of brazil, to be dead, thats alot of people right there and thats not even the half of it.
