Graves was the best. The epitome of old school hockey. Never fought for show, always sticking up for teammates. Nicest guy, but don't get him angry, you wouldn't like him when he's angry. Didn't win all his fights, but never saw him outright lose either. Surprised a lot of big guys with the uppercut and his ferocity. And he could score some goals.

I hate the Rangers but Graves was a consummate team player. Talented and stood up for his teammates. Every team needed an Adam Graves, and his number is in its rightful place in the Garden rafters.
