Ya dude...awesome line. Notice the voice modulation from Mohan Lal's part, a critical component of acting. The modesty and humble nature of the character is beautifully portrayed in that subtle change of voice tone ! Hats off to everyone involved in the making of this masterpiece.

@ajith0787 Good..finally some honesty..:-)... I agree Truth is always ugly... now when the hell did i say tht Mallu politicians are siants??...there are many communal violence which is happening every year in Kerala..i dont've time to list all tht..but have seen in mathrubhumi, manoramaonline local newspapers..but the one which grabbed international attention was Marad massacre on May 2nd 2003.. God bless u my friend...:-)

@ravindarv6 well you gave a fact, I gave another fact. Truth is always ugly. whn did i say all mallu politicians are saints? When was the last time a communal violence happened in kerala? All i said was rioting in the streets when someone dies of natural causes is not suitable for a cultured civilization.

@TheSpiritOfYuva Kerala is modern state??.. man u r real joker..LOL.. and u claim to be a history degree student..LOL...there is not even much IT in the state compared to other fast growing cities due to ur communist people..neway this is not the right forum to debate this..how much ever u keep barking Malayalam is derived from kodumthamizh and some words are borrowed from Sanskrit during sangam period. you can't go back and change the history now. :-)

@ravindarv6 malayalam and kerala, came under heavy Jewish, Arab, Roman, Greek, cultural influences as a result of Muziris, the busiest seaport in the world during that time. Due to these our cultural differences became much more pronounced. The Kerala Renaissance in the 17th and 18th century changed culture again. After 1900 due to benevolent kings, and great politicians, we became literate and urbane and 'European'esque and modern compared to you. Huge differences now.

@ravindarv6 i do. im actually a south asian history degree student. up yours.lol. your comparison of malayalam being from tamil, is like saying pakistan declared independence from India in 1947, when in reality, both modern Republic of India and Pakistan both declared Independence from the same mother entity- British India. Check your semantics. but your source is right, we have a common cultural background. just because we are brothers doesnt mean you are my mother :P

@ravindarv6 what in the world are you talking about? the chera-chola differences, the cultural differences, the early pre-1st century linguistic differences are so well known! it was a part of a general area termed as Tamizhakam or First India(by the greeks), but we were culturally distinct from a far long ago period, and we split ourselves from the same culture. we didnt derive from you. we both derived from a common mother culture which was neither mal/tamil! LOL

@TheSpiritOfYuva.. Learn about Mayalam lang in wiki..
-
@TheSpiritOfYuva well its not an opinion, its a proven fact which happened in 6th century... history never lies... only the people have/trying to destroy the Indian culture.. many foreigners who invaded have destroyed libraries/stolen techniques which had many facts in there(ex:Sinhala Library, some in southern part of India)...so coming to the point.. ofcourse yes, Malayalam was dervided from ancient Tamil & written using Vattezhuttu script..
-
@ravindarv6 that is an opinion. not a fact. whatever be, modern tamil, modern malayalam are all 'derived' languages. i have met far too many tamils who keep telling me malayalam is derived from tamil. malayalam has a linguistical history that traces back to the western Sangam literature. Periyaar Ramaswamy came up with this nonsense, (though a brilliant man he was). Dont go through with it.

Mani is a greedy half-wit.He thought he had made a pot boiler and mint money from the cadres of DMk, and AIADMK.
But people disregarded this movie because they thought the pot bellied Mohan lal was a misfit for MGR.

It is surprising all Mallus always get personal and write personal deragative remarks like :"foolish" etc. Did I call you a fool ?.Learn to be civilised Mallu. MGR was sure not a six packer. But butterball, gundu, drunkard Mohanlal is not a match for MGR another Mallu.

This is not the case of Mallu or Tamil. your comments show ur culture. If you don't like Mohanlal, this is not the way to remark on a public site. I personally feel Mohanlal looks better than MGR. and FYI MGR too is a mallu.
