The big deal for bikes is
1) It's a good climb and a good workout
2) it's insane going down. It would be easy to reach 60 MPH, just too dangerous.
3) It leads into Big Basin state park, and that's also a nice ride.
4) Skyline Blvd allows you to make a nice loop
5) Redwood Gulch leads to 9, and that's a murderous climb, and it's just downright dangerous to bike down, so bikes take 9 down.
WTF is with all the @#$@#$ cars is what I want to know? Why are you trying to kill all of us?

If you ever see a kitted out black Scirocco blasting through the corners up there, that's me.

Well, i can tell you this, I would take a day off work once a month, 1 red light and a right turn from my car port and I was on this road on my CB 1000 custom Honda at 10:30 AM, sparse traffic and no stop till you reach the top! probably not the best ride but one of them.

I've been on this road many times, my husband and I love the roads up there. It's fantastic to see it from this perspective, and I don't even have to drive! Thanks for the great cruisin' videos.
