from Greece, very nice job- I didint understand at the beggining since there is no serial no how you understand that this was a genuine one and not a replica?
Your depth of knowledge is amazing, really shows me what cars back then were made of. Thank you so much for taking me on this journey of the 917 restoration!
Your videos have made me feel so great to know that my little 914 is somehow kin to the Racers that Porsche made back then, even though probably 1/10th the power. You guys really ROCK!
back in the 1970's I used to have a toy 917 1:43, i believe made by Corgi, that had exactly this livery. it even had red plastic ailerons on the back.
Hey awesome job on the car watched all the vids on it, but i wanna see more of it when it wad done amdca little history please? I was born adter all this happened :(
If its in fact the 917-021 chassis, then yes. When the car was restaurated they found yellow and red to be the first layer of paint the car ever had and therefore concluded it must be the AAW 917-021 which ran in the 1970 Le Mans.

That was a great series of videos! Hope you do it again sometime on another project. Makes me want to start taking my 914 apart.

I just watched all 23 videos of the restoration in one breath!
I got so absorbed.
I really enjoyed the videos (and the slides too), especially the part about discovering the past of the car step by step.
Kevin Jeannette was a great host and an amazing mechanic!
Congratulations!

Thanks so much for posting this video series. I got to part 15 when I passed out at 3am. - Woke up, went to the bathroom, got coffee and pressed play.
It should be any proper enthusiast's dream to be involved in such a project.
You had me captive after watching your DA sander paint archeology.
I wish I could watch it all over again.
Thanks for the awesome contribution.
