Victims of Police Violence - The Williams Family - Speak at Oakland Uhuru House

Stephanie and Michael Williams were recently victims of police brutality at the hands of the Albany Police Department in the Bay Area in California. After being attacked and brutalized by police they were both given bogus charges. They made the following presentation at the Uhuru House in Oakland, California on June 14, 2009.

What is going on in America? What has this country become? This is not right that Mr. Williams and his family should be subjected to this kind of police abuse... all for not having a license! In my opinion these two officers should be charged with ASSAULT and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. At the very least, they need to have their attitude adjusted either with or without their consent! This is just outrageous! Makes my blood boil and I don't get angry that often.

Keep in mind that, as every profession, you have your good and bad. There are some police who are unprofessional and should not be wearing a badge. If this incident happen as this man discribes, he should file a complaint and follow through.
