How to export NEX-VG10E to MAC OSX

this is how to export from a NEX-VG10E video camera to a MAC OSX based computer by iMovie. You cannot just use the sd card because it is in a different video format and your mac will not recognise it.
1) Connect your firewire cable (with your camera off)
2) turn on your camera
3) open up imovie
4) click the small camera icon in the bar on your left
5) select the clips you want to import
6) click "import selected clips"
7) once imported, go to finder, and to your imovie events folder (default is in username/movies/imovie events/new event " " )
8) there will be all your imported files from the camera, drag it out or just use the clips from there
