I was diagnosed with a strain in the thoracic region of my back. X-rays showed misaligned vertebrae and I now get adjusted regularly by my chiropractor. My spine is a lot straighter but back still aches and muscles tense up in that area. A physical therapist said the muscles were much weaker on that side. I had my heart and lungs checked as well as an MRI. Nothing bad was found.

@MrBmcstravick no man u should have an X ray u might of dislocated a bone in your spinal column

Can you do one with her naked?
I strained a muscle in a upper right back 3 months ago and have been having physio sessions scince and the strain still burns and aches a lot of the time, i also get back spasms in my mid back occasionally. i have been doing streches and light manoeverability exercises to. Could a chiropractic session help?

@MrBmcstravick Chiropractic care may very well be able to help you. Often, a "strained muscle" involves much more than just the muscle. The medical approach is usually more for symptom relief than fixing the cause. If you misaligned vertebra when your muscle strained, therapy alone won't correct anything. The muscles in your body are ALWAYS attached to, and move bones. A muscle in spasm often pulls vertebra out of alignment, which puts pressure on nerves, causing more pain and spasm. Helpful?

Can you do a demonstration on how to do a shoulder adjustment?

@roughrider119 Shoulders can be tricky, and like spinal adjustments, are specific to direction of subluxation. The spinal adjustment video was meant to show those people who have no chiropractic experience that getting adjusted was not something scary. What is your shoulder concern? Are you seeing a chiropractor?

@drsmithchiro I sometimes get a dull pain in my left armpit and inner bicep area. Kind of feels like when you lean over and put your armpit over the top of a chair and you get that tightness. I got scans done and they said it's not my arteries. The pain is usually for a few days or a week and then it goes away. I think it might because I sleep on my side and stomach a lot. I move around a lot when I sleep. Again, the dull pain is only in my left armpit/inner bicep area.

@roughrider119 # I'm assuming that if your doctors checked your arteries, they also checked your heart, which can certainly be the source of left arm/shoulder pain. Outside of that, it's difficult to say just chatting. You may have an actual shoulder issue or your neck could be the source especially due to your sleeping habits. Either way, you need to have it examined. A chiropractor in your area should be able to help you, but I want you to be sure your heart isn't the problem!
