A beautiful romantic piece by the French composer Joseph Bonnet (1884-1944). It is taken from his "Douze pièces pour Grand Orgue".

  • This is one of the pieces I reaaaallly like. Lighthearted, lighthanded. Beautiful. Though I don´t find it to much a "romance", rather a "smile". And BTW. Yes, Desigual rocks. Indeed :-) And I don´t get any money for that either :-))

  • I hope you enjoyed your visit. It's always so sunny in Southern Cali . I live on the opposite side of the US, in Rochester, NY.

  • I've only been to Southern California once (San Diego and LA).

  • Very interesting. My heritage is British and German. Have you been to the United States? I have been to Germany and England to visit my relatives.

  • No, I'm German, but I lived in Britain for a year.

  • By your spelling of Labour I take it you're in England, or some where in the Commonwealth?

  • One more thing, check out the Intermezzo part of Rheinberger's 4th Sonata. In fact, the whole sonata is awesome, if not played to quickly. Especially the cromatic fugue at the end. The first section can make a good processional. I LOVE IT! Thanks for listening to my comments. All the best.

  • Thanks again, I'll look into your recommendation. Btw, our Labour Day is on May 1. But Happy Labour Day to you. Don't take the "Labour" part too literally today though!

  • Oh pulheez let me know if you record Vision. I use to play it before wedding, as I did the Bonnet piece too.

Your phrasing and expression are great. Have you tried Andantino in GMinor by Franck? I can tell you'd to a great job of it.

All the best and have a good Labor Day!

  • Thanks. No, I haven't played that one by Rheinberger yet, but I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for the tip.
