this movie is horrible [ >:( ]
1) it says "rise to power" when did carlito ever rose to power in the movie, except he is some gangsta that only punk feared him (and the actor doesn't look gangsta at all)
2) the itlalian friend of his he doesn't look tough, he looks like of the guys in these dating movies (where the guy is perfect soft spoken and can cook)
3)half of the movie is spent on carlito chasing pussy and the other half around the ASSHOLE who is very important to the plot.....

I agree with you. This was just a money grab. The original Carlito's Way was a classic and yeah i remember Lalin, they could've defeaintly put a background on him, and the Italian mafiaso.

Besides pussy ass P. Diddy, another thing about this movie that really pissed me off was the fact that they didn't show any of the other characters from "Carlito's way", like how he met them for the first time and all. What about how he used to work with one of the Italians that tried to kill him at the end of Carlito's way? they could've done something with that story. Shit what the fuck about PACHANGA, OR EVEN LALIN?
