This book didnt talk down to kids or shy away from what farms are and the reality of life and death. Kids are NOT DUMB and need to face life so they dont fall apart later. NO sugar coating here. Gotta love that!!!

I remember first reading it in 4th grade, it bothered me how the title mentions Charlotte but not Wilbur which I definitely liked more than Charlotte.
