@Fullthrottle87 - It is a "real" rapier. The one that Whit is using is has a schlager blade in a shell cup hilt. If you are not familiar with what that his just google 'schalger blade'. He is using a custom made main gauche. It is made from a cut down shinai. Through practice we have found that the sparring main gauche available do not do well when parrying a shinai.
