@SlickDX536 really? didn't know that. well I only saw the Kara no Kyoukai movies but never read the novels so it always looked like she could turn them on and off at will.

@Wurzelknecht actually, according to the Type-Moon wiki, contrary to popular belief, Ryougi's MEoDP are permanently active... apparently. the difference between them was that Ryougi doesn't have any physical strain from it.
