Benefit Concert for Sichuan Earthquake Relief, May 16, 2008, Tucson, AZ.
On May 12, 2008, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Sichuan Province and surrounding areas in China. Over 32,000 lives have been lost. The casualties are projected to reach 50,000. Millions of lives in the disaster zone have been devastated. This fundraising concert, organized by the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center and the Tucson Sino Choir in 4 days, is dedicated to the victims of the quake. The event raised over $72,600 for the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund.
