The last anolog commercial on this channel Wal-Mart... pure failure was brought to the ages of analog tv now. We just ruined 62 yrs of analog TV

This is one of the classiest sign offs ever. I live in Deltona, and I had the same thing going. I have watched other Analog sign-offs and most of the anchors in other stations were treating it like if it's the New Year's or something. WFTV has always been my favorite station and this is another reason why.

Nice sign-off, why can't TV stations here do something similar for digital switchover?
Looks like 1:08 was the switch being flicked, then it took a few seconds for the capacitors (to keep it going in case of power glitches) to discharge before the signal completely went off.

@altrokradio I totally agree. It was all done very classy.

Why is all in black and white?

@disneyfan85 This was recorded in Winter Park ... my guess is that maybe they were lowering power on their analog transmitter, possibly causing it to be black and white where I was receiving and recording it. There is another post on YouTube where it is seen in color. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

And so, an era of television broadcasting has come to an end. Albeit rather short, it was done very well. Even though the signal was powered down, it was very appropriate that this was shown in glorious B&W. And the WLOF cat was a very nice touch. But most appropriately, was the way the station faded away. Beautiful end to, what will be, a bygone era.

Thank you, Gladfan! I agree with you completely ... I wish that more stations showed the respect and class that WFTV did in remembering their past, and how it was in the beginning. Heck, I would have been happy if some of them just ran a simple sign-off announcement rather than just dumping the carriers. Thank you for the comments!
