This is the culmination of my first 2 weeks of Cinema 4D training. I decided to do what I always wanted to do with 3D animation and that was to make a 3D Earth. Using various textures at 4K quality and then animating it in C4D and bringing it into After Effects for the finishing touches, I came up with this piece. Plus I thought I'd throw in the OPIC because the whole thing is...well, OPIC!

  • When my GD prof mentioned about 4D, just to confirm with ya Masa. Is it suppose to be Time and Space? Or is it something else?

  • @YasakaniX13 It's a sphere with Earth textures within a Space Sky environment and then touched up in After Effects.

  • Great work. I've been considering starting to learn 3ds max or Cinema 4d. Do you prefer cinema 4d?

  • @Oathbreakingninja Cinema 4D is great to get started learning 3D design. It's very user-friendly and gives you that knowledge base to move on later.

  • Kept waiting for Spock to start narrating "space, the final frontier". This short video truly gave off a tremendous feel and scope for the Earth, and the music chosen added a nice touch to enhance everything. Truly opic! :D

  • Whoa....Is Cinema 4D a professional tool, or can it be purchased by a regular customer?

  • @MasakoXtreme Ah cool, thanks for letting me know what it is!~

  • An amazing start. I can't wait to see what other things you come up with.

  • im curious that why xthedarkones a tag

  • @MasakoXtreme I apologize for sounding very nitpicky in my first comment, but Youtube comment limits prevent me from writing a long critique.

The model and texture itself is very nice, and your editing is extremely good. There is room for improvement, and since you're only beginning, I wanted to leave an honest critique to show that you can't get complacent with what you are being taught at the moment. You need to pull information from your teachers, and from other sources, to be the best.
