I mean: To each his/her own, but damn, you should really consider listening to some real Hip Hop music for a while, then go back to Food & Liquor and The Cool and listen to them a few more times and maybe you'll come to a different conclusion.

It's not my goal to pressure you into something (your personal taste is your personal taste) but I honestly feel you might be missing a lot of value from those albums !

@Nr4747 Personally, i say lasers has alot of relativity to people's lives, that we though noone else endored,not to say his other albums weren't great,but to say considering real hip hop with out the consideration of lasers is like reading the gospel with no bible, just isn't a correct statement. If you listen to it deeply, you' will see how great it is,or maybe you already have,all records didnt kill it they tried to deminish it though,yet lyrically it still surpassed many other artist

Everyone acts like Lasers was whack. The album was decent. Problem is, now a days labels don't promote artist development and fans are too fickle. Jay-Z's volume 2 was garbage...he went on to make a few great albums since then. The expectations for Lupe are probably higher than they should be. F&L was great, The Cool was great, Lasers is good. You would think the dude went Soulja Boy on us by these comments.

@thangQanime I meant, if he went back to making songs like what he did for his 1st & 15 mix tape series it wouldn't be selling out. That's what people really want. I like Lu, we grew up in the same neighborhood but sometimes he's way too far off into Lupe land. Everything Lu does isn't great for the record. He's a great artist but he has some missteps too. If Picasso's name wasn't on some of his work people would call it trash. Same goes for Lu...that being said, fuck you and have a nice day.

At the end of the day, the actual track still has to sound good itself to be relevant. And Lupe isnt selling out, Atlantic denied like 60 other tracks he did, the ones on Lasers were the ones they chose. THAT'S why he went back to mixtapes.
