@ fullbeard420. "420" in your name, what you smoking??? Hearing aids were disapproved by the deaf community more than 50-60 years ago. CI surgeries has been approved by the FDA in late 80's or medical insurance companies would not pay for it. Very few people develop complications from surgery; like maybe 2%. Medical technology and medicine are improving all the the time. People with CIs that I know did not experience health problems that you claim. You are totally mistaken.

@MrDamoc747 your claim is very untrue. hearing aids never created the same reaction and/or scorn. hearing aids are an external tool in which we can remove when we please. Implants, on the other hand, create health problems, and is still not approved by the FDA.

Only stupid people would think this is funny. I know a lot of people who've been helped by cochlear implants. They are grateful for this technology. Remember hearing aids created the same reaction and scorn in the deaf community about 50 years ago.
