Robbery Attempt

This was a robbery attempt by a wanted man. He called before hand to see if we had cash and we recognized his name/voice as he robbed us two weeks before. I am at the counter and two Detectives come onto the scene and try to aprehend him. One Detective had a broken wrist and we all had scrapes and bruises.

BTW untrained cop should never attempt to hold suspect with one hand and firearm with the other, maintain distance control the situation. Distance is the key, if the suspect had a knife the whole thing could have turned out a lot different. Anyway at least no one was hurt.

@5029 Great job on exposing and capturing a person wanted for past offenses but the attempted robbery thing has serious flaws. It would better to say that he was acting suspicious and that you were worried that it could be an attempt to rob but this video has no proof of attempted robbery as the robbery has to have been started for it to be an attempt.

Fact number one, sitting on a chair talking to the clerk/owner is not an attempt to rob any good lawyer will eat the police prosecutors alive with this. The only thing I see him getting charged for if they did in fact find a gun on him and it was not planted is unlawful possession of a firearm. Why did he run, it's easy any sane person see a guy with a crazy look on his face brandishing a firearm would have run.
