I simply melted when the opening sounds were heard, so so long since i have heard them play this one live again and it worked so well too. The atmosphere they all created in the making of thi song switched me onto U2 big big time. Simply my favourite U2 song.

Not sure it's to do with age or training... I mean anyone who has to sing for two hours a night several times a year for months at a time, not to mention all that singing he does in the studio, you'd be pretty hoarse yourself. His voice always sounds much less strained when they play once off gigs outside of tours, like the first performance of Breathe on the Late Late show or their performance at the Grammies - presumably because he has more time to rest it before those gigs.

i think is useless to argue with you... you obviously have different sound system so don't hear the REAL, LIVE bono ;)

madonna & other pop-stars are from some other league so dont mix them and band like U2!

bono should have been prepared for the tour in a proper way... cause i dont like to hear him talking and fighting for breath during one of the U2 best songs...

I''ve been listening to U2 since 1986,so does that answer your question?Try to sing live and move on stage as much as he do and then tell me if you do not get a little breathless.He is not Madonna or most of the pop stars nowadays who lip-sync on stage.He sings LIVE and kicks asses.

hey, have you ever listen bono before? he had fantastic voice. now this... maybe in some newer songs you cant sence difference... he cant sing the same tone more then 2 seconds...he search for the air.. i think his lungs and glottis are exhausted and unfortunatelly not trained... maybe this is the problem...
