  • This version is like it's half-way between the original version and the PSX version.

  • @1300l Likely a CD soundtrack. Because it has reverb and all that stuff. MIDI can do it, but not very well.

    It's not necessarily out of tune.

    They just changed the pitch.

    Actually this is the best version of this specific song on any platform! Very dark & sinister indeed! Even better than the original PC Midi version if I may dare say!

    The SNES spc version is great too!

  • The bass line is way out of tune though, if they kept it the same as the original it would've been better.

  • Yeah, the music was some of the best out of all of the Doom ports (the PSX version is in a different category).

    Too bad the framerate was completely and utterly unacceptable. Really, this was the first console to be designed for 3D and yet Doom ran at roughly 10fps? That's a hell of a rush job :(
