  • A dramatic and haunting account. Is this his own version or the one by Busoni?

  • @piano345 This is a free transcription

  • A wonderful transcription - less 'pure' than Tausig or Busoni (but so what since the music is not of the greatest?). But this transcription/arrangement is so full of colour and life and Cziffra is splendid.

  • @MrLieblingsessen

Just to dispel some misbelief, Cziffra wrote a semi-autobiography up to his age 45 or so "Cannons and Flowers" for further info ... you will shed some tears if read it.

  • @MrLieblingsessen yeah i think what you say's correct but what I said is correct too ;)

ah let's forget about it because this music is amazing =D

  • Best version I've heard so far!

  • @XxbambambxX He just fought under the Wehrmacht. He wasn't SS or Nazi, I believe.

  • Do people know what a life he had? this is such an amazing performance... he was fighting for the Nazis during the 2 WW and then he had to go to a labor camp in Russia for 3 years! and a few years later he plays like that?? WOW

  • @proszel no isn't Tausig trascription i have it

  • @piano345 Tausig's version.
