My Favorite News Opens - WGRZ, WKYT, WTSP, WFXT, WFTS, and WHAM.

WGRZ - I like the Gannett package, and their interpretation of it is classic... Plus, they're around where I live :P

WKYT - The music package goes really well with their open, and it also goes well with the fact that it is a morning open.

WTSP - Their morning show opening is one of the best I've seen, and I love what they did with the Gannett package.

WFXT - They have (or had, they shortened this opening :[) by far the best fox O&O opening out of all of the affiliates.

WFTS - It's not the best, but I like the simpleness of it and the music is good too.

WHAM - I've always liked the music and it's short and to the point (it's my favorite of the three local stations that are in my market).

WGRZ actually changed their opening probably 3 times now since the clip you have. The 1st change was to red/blue (same as WTSP) with larger logos. The 2nd added WGRZ-Buffalo at the top (same as KUSA albeit at the bottom). The 3rd (as of this week) doesn't use Brian Williams as the V/O anymore (went back to Roberta Salomon) and now just goes "From Western New York's Information Center, Channel 2 News starts now." They don't mention "First at Five" or anything like that now.
