Introducing Henry! If you have a Silvia V1 or V2 but would like the updated steam wand/assembly from the V3, you can purchase the whole unit and swap it out. In this video, Henry walks us through the process and shows us how it's done. Please note, if your machine is still under a warranty, following this video will void it.

If you'd like to pick up the parts, you can find them here: http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SCG14024-01

  • Just did the upgrade and this video is almost perfect. The "almost" is really me not watching the full video before starting, but working while the video plays. As a result I included any mistakes in the video in my own procedure... I feel part of the crew now!

  • @stuvlie We should send you a t-shirt (once we get them made)! :D - Kat

  • @SeattleCoffeeGear Thanks! I also found that my V1's original steam knob perfectly fits the new manifold. No new knob required (although it is nice and shiny...).

  • @stuvlie Double cool!! :) - Kat

  • Who sells the upgrade kit with the new steam wand and knob?

  • @MariusWM We have them on our site - Kat

  • @sawtooth49 Great to hear! Glad this helped out with your install :) - Kat

  • Great tutorial vid. I watched it about a year ago but this morning my upgrade kit came so I watched it a few more times. My V1 Silvia was leaking a water at the steam wand so I decided to upgrade and install the kit. It went very smooth and like Henry I discarded the external star washer in order to get enough clearance to install the steam wand nut.

    It works like a charm.

  • @aptsys I'm sure I wouldn't :) But we have a whole channel disclaimer to that affect so we don't spend a lot of time saying it in every single video. - Kat

  • @SeattleCoffeeGear You'd be surprised...
