Dear "Sir", allow ME to advise you that Buzz Smith is the REAL DEAL, and the very LAST word when it comes to Filipino Kuntaw. It is unfortunate that jealousy and petty politics have come to mean more than honesty and fact.
I stand for integrity. My reputation speaks for itself, and when I choose to speak of TRUE skill in martial arts, you should choose to listen:

LOL, love the finger (palm) break in your videos philyet1. And that inability to discover your caps key just so screams "fingers of death". Buzz is a gentleman and the real deal. I suggest you keep practicing your self and stay out of martial politics - because you're coming up on the short end of the stick and looking like a moron.

To Martial150; the forefathers of GM Lanada were royal blood of the Tausug tribe in the southern island of Mindanao; hence, the name Maharlika! The original form practiced by the Tausog was Kuntao; GM Lanada synthezised it with his other discipline and called "Maharlika Kuntaw" of which different practitioners from around the world are members!

These are some very solid fundamental techniques.
Just a question to help my research: how justified is the AMKA in separating from the IKF? What is their stance in the matter?
And I've also taken note of the name "Maharlika". Maharlika refers to the "royal islands" of the Philippines, and refers to the royal family. From a Filipino cultural point of view, I see no justification in using the term Maharlika, considering that Kyud Buzz is an American.

Martial150- The AMKA was formed in 1974 to be the stateside version of the MKKAP. We did not separate from the IKF. In fact I was the IKF US Director for several years . We did not separate- we were abandoned and left to go our own way. As far as Maharlika Kuntaw- that is the name of the system I trained in under GM Lanada. He changed the name in 1978. It was the Maharlika Kuntaw Kung Fu Association.

This is excellent material, thank you for kindly sharing, also, roughly a year ago, you posted a similar demo. The demo included low-line leg trapping and more lock flow, is it possible that you can repost that demo.
Keep up the good work. Do you conduct seminars in Maryland?

I have given seminars all over ( Orlando Fl, Lewisburg WV, Rockford Il. Milwaukee Wi, Seattle Wa, Sudbury Ontario, Toronto Canada and other places)- I have yet to give one in Maryland- I could be available if you are interested.
