JET or no JET? That is the question.

heya, mmm that's tough choice. I'm studying abroad as a Junior... kind of taking a year off my major.. (art) and studying the language for a minor.
could you go to japan for jet and then go to grad school later? hmm... just remember that if you want to go to Japan, it's going to get more difficult with each year.
Did you go to college for english, or law?

It's a tough call. The way I looked at it, when I had a similar decision, was that law school will always be there. But you may not get another chance to go to Japan for a year or more. You're young and could easily do JET after you graduate from law school, but then you'll have loans to pay off and the pull to start being a lawyer may overwhelm your desire to have an adventure in Japan.
Good luck with your choice! Ganbatte kudasai!
Hey Shitashii, definately, Jamie has a good point about checking out what your options are first.
For more information directly about JET, check out the vlogger "MYARGONAUTS" - he's a guy in Japan who does a vlog with info about it: watch?v=3Ct7SH4dO5w

I'd say you should first see if you can defer law school, then worry about it.

Yeah, that's probably a smart decision. Good point.

Yeah, I know what you mean about not knowing what to do with your life. I'm kind of in the same boat right now. Also I've been considering JET lately but I don't know, because I'm terrible at teaching and etc. Depending on how long you have left in law school(if you're already in it), my suggestion is to just finish up your degree, then do the JET thing.

I'm actually in the process of applying to both programs at the moment. My dilemma is choosing between them both right after graduation.
