Years ago...looking at some of the Curtis pictures of old Native American leaders and elders...I felt as if
their faces were talking to me. ..about their dignity....authenticity...and strength...through great difficulties
...a feeling I'd never had looking at the faces of leaders on the local and world scene. This process inspired this song.
