This is Baby Doll. Baby Doll is bald, but dont worry she is fine, now!! Her "hubby" removed all the feathers from her head years ago. However, she was living in an unclean environment. Unclean and not safe!! She was given up, fortunately. She and her hubby are now here and are doing much much better every single day!! Baby doll had an infected preening gland, thus she was unable to preen herself properly. She also had mold at the base of her neck and mold around the infected gland. She could barely walk and needed something to lean against or she would totter. I have one more video to show you how a clean environment can solve problems like these. She is spreading her wings now and she is learning to be a bird!

  • I had to have her put to sleep a few months ago. She could barely walk anymore, the vet wanted to medicate her every day, but shes a bird! Not being able to fly, or walk?

thats not a way to live.

She lived a good life while she was here.

    I miss her!!

    thx for your comments everyone....

  • Nice work. Are you going to keep her? LOL I fall in love with every rescue. It's hard to let them go I am so picky. LOL

  • Oh yes, you better believe I am going to keep her!! Hopefully, I can get another video of her this week. She is doing very well! I think she might have a small tumor on her left side, but it actually looks like it may have shrunk a bit. She will probably always have some mobility troubles, and I will monitor her to make sure she isnt suffering at any point. So far so good for a happier life... her coloring and her demeanor are showing a B+ so far and thats a good thing.

  • thank you so much! I just wish I could have taken her in sooner, but, better late than never. She is even starting to get fiesty and she loves spreading out her wings...

i'm sad to hear about her being put to sleep. i just had a 12 day old die on me. :( very sad. but here 2 siblings are both strong and healthy. they are communicating their happiness and when they're hungry very well now and their crops are big enough that the hand feeding is a breeze now :)
