It's been just over a week since this juvenile flying fox was rescued from netting loosely draped over a backyard fruit tree. He is one of the lucky ones that suffered no major injuries. After spending a week with Trish Goodwin from Bat Conservation & Rescue Qld and feasting on fruit salad and fruit juice, it's now time to be released to the nearest bat colony to where he was found, on Lamb Island. Bye bye little batty!

Members of Bat Conservation & Rescue Qld are trained and vaccinated. Please don't attempt to handle a wild sick or injured bat. Call the 24 Hour Rescue Line: ph 0488 228 134
