It's because I forgot to download a program for it of some sort. And the videos from my Sony are MPG.

Is it because your sony camcorder saves the movie as a file that doesn't work in windows movie maker? What's the file extension of the videos? (.mov, .avi, etc.)?

Good job with windows movie maker. It gets easier and easier to do once you start making a few videos. Playing around with it is the best thing to do, because you might find things that you would have not normally seen.

Thanks for the advice man. However, for now, I can only edit videos off of my FujiFilm & not my Sony camcorder
