Its interesting that this is the closest the entire UK has to a national day, and i think its appropriate-we have umpteen oportunities to stop, drink and let of fireowkrs, but this is one of hte few times when people verywhere stop what they are doing and remember-its very fitting that a moment to think of the dead and hope for peace, is what unites the nation once a year

Does anyone else think this is the most inappropriate thing to be talking politics on-weather you believe in the war or not, this is to commemorate people who died-people who often didnt have a choice, as they were conscripted against their own choice-leave the politics out
