So if i use swap magic to play an imported game from japan will i still be able to play american PS2 games?
-
Pull it out gently?! What is gently?! I can hardly even pinch it out. That things on there tight! Unless you have screw.
-
@drigers5 great! Now you don't have to buy it just for the slide card. You can just download it from the internet.
-
@roolrr22 It works with other region games, I've played japanese games using it. PS2 apparently only check for things that would stop it from running right at the start.
-
@drigers5 I'm not sure about other region games. Probably yes, I haven't tried it. Burned games it lets me play without problems (of course if there is not a problem with the DVD itself.
-
@roolrr22 so the ps2 doesn't recognize you opened it. It lets you play games from other regions, and apparently lets you play games that have been burned to DVDs
-
I don't get it.. Why do I need a slide card if I can just open it with the eject button? It works the same.

@solarthehedghog941 Hey man, I will cause damage to your PS2 laser system sooner or later. So, it will damage your LASER But Not the SYSTEM after a little while. So good luck :)
is the the slide card important

@juniorhotskull as long as you can move the mechanism and pull the tray outwards, then put the mechanism back in place after you put the tray back in, you dont need the slide card. the slide card just hooks perfectly and makes the whole process a cinch.

i am not sure. so far i have not run into any problems. however, i do not use the slide card much at all. i probably use it only 5-10 times in a year. i dont use it much at all, so i cant say whether or not there will or wont be damage to your ps2.
