not a mortar tube moron,
it has a breach lock, like a aritllery piece, gas is diverted from ports in the chamber and out vents on the back,
recoiless rifles were originally developed in the 1940s as shoulder fire weapons.
Mortars are fired from the ground, they are not shoulder fired, a mortar is basically a tube with a firing pin in the base that fires a primer in the base of the motar round, basically they are muzzle loaded, hang the round and drop. so how could it be shoulder fired
