  • Nice catch Snuffy!

  • @TheSd90mac Thanks!

  • The leading unit looks like an ex SD45.

Union Pacific rebuilt them into SD 40-3Rs

I have the brass prototype in n scale.

  • This was the last time I saw that SD45? leading a Manifest train heading to Long Beach.

  • nice...tunnel motor

  • Yeah... but I don't think I go there again.

  • @Jamersonde I hear ya.

  • @macdogq all these locomotive rebuilds I hear about is giving me a headache trying to keep up with them. LOL

  • @Jamersonde Yes it is a Tunnel Motor. It is an SD 40-3R rebuilt tunnel Motor That was formely an Southern Pacific SD45-2T.

  • @macdogq That's an Tunnel Motor, from the looks of it.

  • I sure miss the 20 cylinder 645 series sounds. The 16 cylinder 710 - G3 sounds nice, but. nothing beats the old SD45s. Your camera does a nice job of picking up a full range of audio.
