Nice for the eye but nothing to live in. No heart. The acoustic is horrible. In know better places. This is a design study not a villa. The feeling is like from the movie Modern Times of Jaques Tati :)
tahnk you so much to share this vidio it helped me a lot to undrestand the villa savoye becuse i leave in middle east and it is really hard for me to come and see the place but i will
unchallangable masterpiece of form and proportion. Ask todays architects to mimic / go close to this style and anything they bring you will see that something is missing. Dont now what - maybe a scent of a genius? See? You do not need CAD, Archicad, Graphic workstations to be ultracreative... Maybe computers now are more of a burden not help?
I'm a mechanical engineer, but to come face to face with this masterpiece almost brought tears to my eyes: It's that magnificent. Altough it feels like a 60s home, looking at the hardware is shocking: That's what makes you realize it was built 80 years ago. Cozy, however, it's definitely not. Mme. Savoye was right: I am certain it must be unlivable. However, Le Corbusier was right too, when he told her instead of trying to live in it, she should have shown it. I'm glad it's been preserved.
@PanchoPistolas1968 I wish I could understand you..... I really did.
