You know....I DO like Palin...but I just want to say that I appreciate your post and not feeling the need to slam her kids because you don't like her. Most of the posts about her have been more degrading than Letterman's jokes.

Your comments about "right-wingers" is discriminitory. If you take a good look at ALL of the comments on youtube about this matter there is enough idiotic verbage represented from both sides of the political spectrum. I've see the "f" word from conservative posts about liberals and the "f" word from liberal posts about conservatives. The word "cunt" appears alot and other wonderful words. It's awful. I think what happened to the girls was disgusting and should not be repeated about ANY woman.

I agree...his explanation that they had done research to see if Bristol was "of age" disgusted me too....that someone actually has a job that involves deciding whether or not to tell a raunchy joke about a young woman based on whether or not she turned 18 yet really bothers me. I think it would be good to know if that person -or people- who were responsible for researching this joke were fired.

The joke was out of bounds Dave had to crawl to Palin for forgiveness

Dave called Sarah a slut & her daughter a whore. That's slander & not funny. They knew from reading the papers Willow was with her mom. Dave thought it cute to say another daughter got knocked up & that was awkward for Palin. Dave knew who was with Palin.

These jokes are reviewed & vetted. They're SCREEN writers! The show is taped, plenty of time to pull

Palin is obviously ONLY after publicity. It was a tasteless joke, sure, but it was a simple mistake over WHICH daughter was at the game. The fact remains that one of Palin's daughters DID have underage, premarital sex. Does that make her a bad person? Of course not. But if a liberal politician's child did that, right wingers would say worse and never let it go. Look how they made fun of Chelsea Clinton who hadn't even done anything! Again, bad joke, but let's not be hypocrites here.

Well Letterman has not been funny since the 80's, so I think he needs to go anyway. His joke about a young girl having sex is uncalled for. Chris Hansen from dateline needs to do an interview with him. As for Palin she is an amateur and does not need to be anywhere near Washington, there are too many amateurs there now as it is. As Americans we need to really start looking closely at who we send to Washington. Some senators been in Washington too long. Bob Corker for president.
