This well-known clip introduces Master Chief Urgayle to the CRT (SEAL) trainees. He recites a D.H. Lawrence poem, Self-Pity, "I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself....", followed by the uncredited "The ebb and flow of the Atlantic tides, the drift of the continents, the very position of the sun along its ecliptic. These are just a few of the things I control in my world."

  • man viggo really nails this performance! I know demi moore is the star of the movie, but to me viggo is just as good or even better. He's the main reason why I watch this movie. He was such a badass in the movie

  • Viggo would make a pretty intimidating chief in BUDS

  • @littleismail A common saying from regular to special forces, you can't understand it till you go through it, I got taste and it changed my life, so going through the real thing, with SEALs especially, it will rattle your universe. The training I went through was 3 weeks and really I only felt 10% of the real thing. I ain't mentally weak, I'm scary mentally, I still got the bug I'm just keeping a promise to my folks, college b4 navy, so i'm learning 2 languages and pre-med, challenge is a game

  • @DarkFenix34512 cause you're a little mentally weak. there guys can't do shit outta regs

  • I've met real SEALs and SEAL instructors, and have been trained by them in Sea Cadets, trust me, you believe they control the weather and time its self, they pierce inside you and really see who you are, and will twist and turn your very soul to see if it breaks, you do not want to laugh in front of these guys, heck you don't want to be seen by them through training, but their is no hiding here

  • robots are the future.

  • @Spartacus217 Tight shorts ? I'd love to wear one

  • @momothebored alright, I'm not an expert on warfare, but I have a feeling we're talking about psychology here. if you are trying to say that a woman cannot be bloodthirsty and merciless, I agree with you - if we are talking about women in general. but individually, there are women as well as men that are 'soft' and not fighters; and there are men as well as women who make excellent fighters. being against ALL women in the millitary isn't exactly a smart move; it means saying no to good fighters.

  • @Aysannes Not a chance in hell. It's precisely because you're young that you're spouting nonsense about women being able to be warriors just like men.

You obviously have no idea about combat efficiency.

It's not whether you're willing to fight or suffer for your country, women simply will never be genetically on the same level as men when it comes to combat.

It's not about chauvinism, it's about genetics. Go read a BIT before making comments like that.

  • This poem is amzingly intense; and always hits me hard. And it's my favourite Demi Moore film

  • am I the only person utterly turned on by all this? First with the talk of "wild things" in that lazy drawl, then the way he looks intently at Demi, and sizes her up and down and up! and down! HOT!!!!!!!!!

  • "...if the sun is moving along an ecliptic, then its trajectory is pre-set and thus not being controlled by you, master chief."

    *gets beaten to a pulp*
