I came across this video and you dont even know who I am but this really touched me. I cried along with my mom who watched it with me. That song is beautiful and it brings joy to my heart to know that he is in heaven with our Father.

Thank you for your sweet comment. I know this video means more to Dad's 9 children and 37 grandchildren than it does to people who weren't priviledged to know him. His family all take comfort in knowing that he's with the Father. Dad was known more for quoting scripture than Longfellow but when he learned he had just a few days to live he kept quoting this poem. We thought the words were so powerful and we played the video at his funeral. God bless.

The music playing is actually "Angel Eyes" by Jim Brickman. What ddopps is referring to is a really great CD that Bruce Dopps loved. It was by Red River Crossing. Like this song, it is all beautifully played piano music.

Red River and it is very very good. A man on the river walk in San Antonio playing his paino was selling it. 8 years ago That is all I know

Thank you for your comment. That video was recorded 3 days before Bruce Dopps died. He wanted to be remembered by his great love for Jesus, and he spent the last three years of his life writing a book to any one who wanted a copy. As you can see in the video at age 94 he was very sharp and his knowledge of the bible was outstanding.
