Five Things that Bug Me About Pokemon

I'm like the greatest Pokemon nerd ever. I started playing during the Blue and Red version days.

1) Pikachu in the anime - should NOT have volt tackle! Volt Tackle is a breeding move!
2) Anime - why does Ash's new voice actor/actress have such a deep voice?
3) Distortion World in Platinum; queasy feelings while exploring.
4) Online Pokemon Community - hacking is horrible/Pokesav is horrible!
5) Nintendo Official Pokemon Events - why not Canada?

I don't have a problem with hackers unless they start selling the product or claim the game as official Nitendo material; I think it would fun to try myself :D But the hackers in pokemon community like you said do make me sick, can't they play for real instead of cheat against other players? It saddens me :( (I have a question, can't you just use Action Reply or Gameshark to get an event pokemon? I'm kinda new on that... LOL)

Yeah, hackers kind of improve the community. (Eg. people who hack the games to create a new gameplay experience) I don't mind those hackers, but the people who cheat - never mind. I don't mind Pokesav for editing Pokemon (it's easier to EV train for one thing), or a code for increasing experiences.

And yes, you can use an action replay or AR to get event pokemon. (But the Pokemon aren't unique...the ones that are given out are.)

I think that it is total BS that you have to go to an event just to get a pokemon. All legendary pokemon should be obtainable in-game.

I agree. It's all marketing bullshit. You go to a store for a little piece of code that enables something on your cart.

It was fine with the gameboy color and the IR port - that was more about sharing. Now it's about "catching them all" - and trying to pick up rare pokemon by heading to a retail store.

The stores do it to increase traffic (people must buy something when they come in), and increase the visibility of video games.

That said, I am hosting a few events..wanna come?

ash's old voice was fine and the only reason they made pikachu do volt tackle is to show off this powerfull attack and so fans y=would buy the games with pikachu in it just so they can try to get volt tackle,and make stronger by the light ball

Very true. The anime made me want to purchase the new games at the time. It was Diamond and Pearl, right?

The light ball was nigh impossible to get although. *sigh*

I think Ash has a lower voice because after 10 years and 5 regions, I don't think he'd be ten anymore. They aren't going to make him like 17 or something, but he has to grow up somewhat
