Sure, the Motorola CLIQ and HTC Hero are very nice, and the HTC Magic and T-Mobile G1 are pretty good, but this phone takes Android to a whole new level!

Youre looking at the Motorola Droid, the first Android device with 2.0 (Eclair) and a 848×480 pixel screen possibly the slimmest (and hottest) QWERTY slider ever designed

Feast your eyes on my unboxing pictures, and if youre still hungry for more, check out my unboxing video :)

  • does this phone take good pictures and videos?? (: i really want this phonee. but i wouldnt be able to have a phone if it doesnt have good quality..

  • Yes. Check my blog for a camera review (see link in my profile),

  • this phone would be a lot better if it wasn't so ugly looking, but other than that it seems like a pretty cool phone, i rather have the HTC hero from sprint though, and im getting it tomorrow XD

  • Well I suppose it's a matter of taste - but I like the design a lot.

Enjoy your Hero with smaller and lower resolution screen (480x320 instead of 800x480), older version of Android (1.5 instead of 2.0) slower processor, no hardware keyboard, no flash, no Google Navigation :)

  • Wrong about it being the first with micro usb and dedicated camera button. The CLIQ has that and it was released before the droid.

  • True, but the Droid is still the first Android phone with a 800x480 pixel display, and a camera flash.

I forgot about the CLIQ even though I played with it when it was announced at Mobilize - it's an OK phoen but it didn't make a lasting impression.

BTW, the Hero/Eris also features a standard headphones jack.

  • AWESOME !!!! btw does facebook msn youtube for free or cost ???

  • i live so what ever, and the sprint navo is good and i dont really need it, i have a gps in the car so w/e. plus if i wanted google navo that badly, i could download it from the app store. I <3 htc and sense ui, and the resolution is a lot better than you think, its the crappy backgrounds you get right off the bat, but id you download backgrounds off market, you get really nice resolution. htc makes good phones so im happy wether you want this phone or not

  • yeah it has 1.5 but with the htc software on top of andriod its not a big deal, you have more screens, and its not slow, i use it like crazy and its really good with its speed even though it technically has a slower processor. idc if it doesnt have a hardware keyboard, its easy to use to text and its very accurate. i dont take pictures at night anyways so who cares, plus it has auto focas so if it was really that important to have light i could use light from the street since there is a lot were

  • The HTC Hero sucks compared to this phone you made a mistake and will pay for the rest of your CONTRACT!
