kinda wish we could get more of that helicopter angle to go along with the onboard

This is a 1991 car with a 1992 shell, running 35mm restrictor and about 340 PS rather than the UK shell Scholorship car which ran 33 mm restrictor and 280PS, these cars were NEVER competitive being far too heavy with terrible brakes and handling, it was also homologated into Group N in the UK and never Group B (which i understand continued in NA until 1994) I had the pleasure of riding with Jonny Milner who drove this car for 1 season with no success (for the above reasons)

and now there is a new king with david higgins setting in at 6:19

@spokismONE the car was not built in 1981, its a newer shape Audi S2 Quattro, but yes the technology and drivetrain hasnt changed since the Quattro's introduction. And also the engine hangs way out up front which affects its handling, being only 20seconds slower than pastrana in an old car without a navigator is pretty good going, makes yoyu wonder why pastrana was takiing it so easy.

you do understand that pastrana in his brand new much faster sti pulled a 6 min 20 sec run and this is a 6 min 40 sec run... This car is 30 years older with technology that is AT LEAST 12 years behind pastranas car. This car was built in 1981... So yeah..

Excellent driver and thanks for posting.

@fjs12754 Agreed the variables are completely different. Thanks for an intelligent response. I wasn't trying to take anything away from Sprongl.

Pastrana Owns the Record now.

Wicked!
@Twitchy380Magnum
Not really the same deal.
1.Pastrana didn't do it on race day,
2. He did it on the hill which has more pavement now
3. He did it with a co-driver reading him pace notes
4. He did it in a car that's 10 years newer technology wise
I'm not sayin' Pastrana's record isn't an admirable achievement.... just sayin' it's not the same deal.
