Clean water, a variety of diet consisting of both live brine shrimp, dry (flake, pellets), beefheart mix, frozen food (seafood, brine shrimp.etc) is the gateway to success in keeping discus.

The breeding cone is used to induce spawning and pairing from the collection of adult discus in that tank.

Having a bare bottom tank, eases the stress to siphon a tank full of gravel where trapped food starts to decay, thus increasing ammonia level, which in turn slows the growth of discus fishes.

uuuummm if u did research u would know

this person is trying to grow or breed these discus to there fullest

with no substrate the tank is easier to clean for water changes, which keeps the discus healthy and fast growers

by the looks of these cones, this person is trying to breed these discus
