Such a strange film, the cast recording (x5 78s on UK Decca) is better than that used on the film!
Its a bit of a cheat in a way as the Composer & Lyrics, Director & Conductor/Arranger were all American.
I remember seeing this over 20 years ago, most of the film I remember being dreadful, though some of the sets & costumes & musical numbers are amazing.
