He would have been a legend if he had not died whilst on his way to the top at age 40. Thank you Otis for giving so much pleasure to people like me. My favorite blues pianist and in my opinion, no one was or is better at the old school, raw, country-style, boogie-woogie piano blues. An awesome voice to go with it. I love you and will see you in Blues Heaven:)

Spann was one of the greats whom we lost too damn soon. Wish he had recorded on disc the same performance.

@snackcakeman This is from a DVD called BLUES MASTERS. It has Muddy Waters and a lot others. A GREAT DVD.
