Me and my brother spent a wet/dry day attempting to make fire by friction using a piece of dead standing sycamore.

  • damn it the audios gone

  • Yep unfortunatly

will re-upload it along with some new vids soon when my new camera turns up

  • when felling trees the felling cut (V cut) should be no more than a quarted of the width of the trunk, then start cutting from the opersite side of the tree (back cut) but make sure you leve about 1CM to act as a hinge so the tree falls in the right direction.

it is easyer to do the top cut first then do the bottom cut to meet it. also if you do the back cut 1cm aboth the bottom cut it will prevent the tree pinching your saw. hope this helps

    great video

    high 5!

  • Thanks for the reply,i do know how to fell trees but that day i was in a rush to beat the weather but i should know better and there are no excuses for cutting corners in the nature.
