Yeah, but Whitney has better vibrato, tone color, agility (runs), phrasing, intuition to place ad libs. The only thing here Nathali has is a more free emission in the very high belted notes (but with a strangled-cat quality in her tone). What set Whitney above every other singer is her unique voice texture, that crosses any gender. Nobody can find her tone ugly or ok. Great duet, and the other one of the same night is even better!!!!!

your obviously a huge fan of whitney wich is fine, but every aspect of tone is a question of taste, some people like janis joplins tone even though its very scratchy while others think its shit. whitney did indeed have an incredible voice no doubt about it. but its still a question of taste, i know many people who thinks her voice is annoying as hell in some songs like i wanna dance with somebody

NO,the beauty of the tone is NOT a question of taste, however the kind of tone the ear (your ears) is attracted by is a question of taste. I love Jessie J's tone, however I can easily recognize her tone is not as marvellous as Whitney's one, but I still like her tone. WHITNEY's tone is one in a million and has really marvellous characteristics (rich texture, balanced, brilliance) and yes the BEAUTY of her tone cannot be questioned.
